We are pleased to inform you that, starting with September 2009, the program of educational visits to the Chamber of Deputies for the pupils of primary, secondary schools and lyceum was resumed.

The educational visits are organized twice a week, Tuesday and Friday, between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., consisting of "Lesson of democracy" providing information about how the Chamber of Deputies functions, about the voting and representation process, about the role of the Deputies and about the legislative process, etc. The "Lesson of democracy" is followed by a tour of the Palace of the Parliament. Optionally, those interested may assist in the discussions of the Chamber of Deputies when discussions in the plenum of the Chamber of Deputies are scheduled (this option is available only for the pupils of the secondary school and lyceum).

The visits are free of charges, but they must be priory announced in order to schedule the groups.

The Education and Publication Centre through its activities wants to bring closer to the Parliament the citizens of all age, but especially young people and children, through educational programs with civic contents. These programs mainly aim:

  • To inform and educate the public, especially the children and young people, on the democratic institutions and mechanisms;
