matters and programmes of foreign policy of Romania; bilateral dialogue with the similar committees of the parliaments of other countries and of international parliamentary bodies; endorsement of treaties, conventions and other international instruments to which Romania adheres; the hearing of the persons proposed to be appointed in the position of ambassador of Romania abroad, following which it gives an advisory opinion.
