The Chamber of Deputies shall put at the disposal of the non-profit civil society organizations legally established and interested in the legislative activity of the standing committees of the Chamber of Deputies a procedure for their online registration in a Database posted on the website of the Chamber of Deputies.

The associations, foundations and federations established according to the Law No 21/1924, Government Ordinance No 26/2000 and Law No 54/2003 – generally called non-governmental organizations (NGO) - , the representative owners' associations and trade unions, as provided by the law, and the vocational bodies legally established are invited to fill in the registration form.

The Database is designed to be an efficient information and working instrument for the deputies and the parliamentary staff, and it concerns the Romanian associative environment for improving the techniques of consultation and participation of representatives of civil society in the law preparation procedures, especially at the level of the parliamentary committees. For this purpose, the Database contains information concerning the designation, type and mission of the organization, a brief description, its main activity objects, the projects developed and the services provided, the Standing Committees of the Chamber of Deputies which activity interests the organization, the contact data and persons and other similar information. Over the time, the Database will be completed with the proposals, suggestions, contributions, etc. of the organizations registered, concerning the initiatives discussed in and submitted in written form to the Committees or presented during the advisory meetings between the Committees and the representatives of civil society, organized according to the provisions of the Regulations of the Chamber of Deputies.

Besides the registration procedure, the Database give to the interested organisations the chance to participate directly in the consultation process and to able to offer their specialized expertise in different domains in which the legislator is interested, a procedure for their accreditation at the Chamber of Deputies, based on a set of a conduct principles and rules, in accordance with the Regulations of the Chamber of Deputies.

ATTENTION: The Registration in the Database does not automatically provide the accreditation. The accreditation is requested by filling in the headings of the Accreditation Application Form intended for this purpose. Please read carefully the principles concerning the access and conduct of the accredited representatives of civil society within the Chamber of Deputies. These are to be observed if the accreditation is obtained.
